If brewing stops working after installing or replacing an AquaClean filter, the cause is almost always preparation, not a defective filter.

01Check if it's a preparation issue first

  1. Switch off the machine.
  2. Remove the filter and try brewing a coffee without it.
  3. If that works normally, the filter itself wasn't properly prepared before installation.
Correct AquaClean preparation Shake the filter for 5 seconds, then hold it upside down submerged in a container of water until no more air bubbles escape โ€” this is the step most people skip or rush, and it's the most common cause of filter-related problems.

02Reinstall properly and retest

Place the correctly prepared filter back into the water tank and brew a coffee. If it now works normally, you're done โ€” no replacement needed.

03If it still doesn't work

If brewing still fails with a properly prepared filter installed, the filter itself is likely clogged internally and needs replacing โ€” AquaClean filters have a rated capacity and do wear out with normal use over time, independent of proper preparation.
